Aaron sat alone in the attic of the castle. The only light in the room came from a single flickering candle. He was surrounded by darkness. Not the physical dark, but the spiritual darkness. The dark reality that a person could actually come to a place where there was no hope. He was there, he was stuck and whatever light he had in his life was slowly fading away.

Edie was pacing back in forth in the room. She even tried opening the door several times. "Get back in the room," the guard would say and close the door immediately. And every hour the doctor would come and check on Annie's condition. Edie would try to talk to him, but he never once looked in Edie's direction.
Impaled by the overwhelming emotion which assailed her from every direction Edie was powerl……
