All invited Alphas gathered in the conference room that reeked from the smell of power. Aside from Blaise I counted thirty two Alphas in the room. All sitting by the long oval table with Poe at its head. Tim and Drew took places on chairs leaning against the wall behind my back just like Sig was sitting in the shadow of his Lieutenant.
I was curiously looking around the room doing my best to remember faces of every leader from the North that I'll be meeting today. I felt Poe's gaze lingering on me, but I purposely avoided meeting his eyes. If this meeting would go my way I wouldn't have to acknowledge his presence once, but knowing Blaise he will pull some stunt to make me embarrassed or at least a bit squirming. I hate that he's holding any sort of power over me.
