Darren and his 'Children' dropped Abi, Aunt Maria and me back into my office in Shore Wolves. He was quite surprised that Ina wasn't returning with us, but when I told why he looked genuinely happy for her.
I chose once again to shimmer with Julien and he was as nice as before. He even offered me that he can provide me with his own blood vials just in case I wouldn't want to trouble his Count. That was really sweet of him to offer, and as you can never be too careful I agreed. Julien promised he would return with prepared vials and soon after that all the Vampires left us alone in my office.
It had been too long since I slept in my own bed that I parted with Abi and her mother and went straight to my own room. That was a good night, a peaceful one, without the perspective of an ex or aspirin……
