40. Best man or a woman

Two days came and went too fast for me to be even remotely ready for my new fresh start. That morning after I went with Dennis to the infirmary and took one last glance at Ink and my Mother, the four of us who were leaving for the Shore Wolves Pack packed into the big black truck gifted to me by Ruby as a good luck present and we hit the road.

I honestly regretted not having Darren close by to travel faster. I would even put up with the gag reflex I always experienced after shimmering with him, just to avoid spending the whole day behind the wheel. I was more than happy when we stayed for the night in Edweek's Manor. Even though we made a few turns behind the wheel and all of us had the opportunity to drive, we were all more than exhausted.
