Wolf received a message telling him to report to the blacksmith who worked at the school part-time. The blacksmith showed him several bundles of bamboo and informed him it was the right kind for making arrows. Wolf couldn't be happier. There was more than he could use for the whole summer. The blacksmith informed him he wouldn't be the only one making arrows. Besides some squires, several other pages had expressed an interest in learning the craft. Wolf packaged the bamboo into manageable bundles and prepared them for shipping to camp. He also made sure he had enough thread and glue to manufacture the arrows.
The head chef had Wolf participate in the butchering of some geese and turkey at the nearby ranch. They had driven out there to order poultry for the school. It turned into an eye open……
