Larkin gasped, and Elise turned her gaze away from the gap she was peeking through into the next aisle to look at what it was that caught the wizard’s eye. He’d just flipped open the lid of a crate. The wizard leaned forward, his hair falling into his wide yellow eyes, jewel bright with the reflections of the multicolored gems that he was staring down at. He had an almost hungry look in his eye, though apparently not as hungry as the crate - which dipped forward to gobble up the catton, it’s lid snapping shut to trap the poor wizard inside.

The catton yelped and flailed, but was consumed in a single gulp. The rest of the party froz in wide-eyed horror until the crate rumbled a bit and gave off a burp. The crate’s lid popped open ever so briefly as it made the rude sound, and when it slammed……
