Maria continued flying in one direction while killing the monsters she saw and luck would have it, she actually managed to make it out of the marshes and into the plains where she saw a city in the distance.
“Ah! Civilization!”
She quickly flew to the city and touched down in an empty plot of grass and walked to the gates where she could see people bustling in and out.
“I hope I can find a map or something,” Maria mumbled to herself as she approached the gates.
Maria should have continued paying attention to her surroundings because she didn’t see the frightened looks of the people around her.
She was also too deep in thought that she didn’t hear the people lining up to enter the city scream and run away from her while shouting, ‘Monster’, ……
