When you bet stone, you had a ten percent chance of winning, which was actually really good odds. If you bought ten stones, chances were good that you would win at least one time and get more than your money’s worth in the end. Aurora looked for a while and finally picked out a stone that seemed lucky to her.
It wasn’t just luck though. In her previous life, Aurora had learned a lot about jade.
Caldwell smiled as he paid for the stone. He handed it to her and said, “Good luck, baby. This one looks like a winner. You seem to know your stones, but don’t forget that this is a game of chance. Don’t be disappointed if you lose!”
Aurora took a deep breath as she accepted the stone. "Well… wish me good luck."
They continued walking and Aurora chose another 3 pieces of stone. Caldwell picked out ……
