The Lancaster 802 words 2021-03-13 14:45:20

“Are you okay?” Henry took a quick glance at Winnie while steadily holding the steering wheel, but Winnie remained silent, “Blake, any idea why your sister is acting a bit weird?” He turned to Blake who was glancing through his phone, “um, no, I don’t know” He shook his head and the car stopped by their school.

Teenagers were outside, talking, some were coming out of the school bus and the bullies were picking on someone much younger than them.

Winnie opened the car door, “Have a great day” Henry said and Winnie smiled and got down from the car, Blake reached to the back to grab his bag and got down from the car and Henry drove off.

“Hey Blake, my man” a blonde walked up to Blake and they shook hands, “Winnie” the Blonde smiled at Winnie and she rolled her eyes and walked in.

She basically ignored the looks she was getting as soon as she walked in, she went straight to her locker and opened it, she took some books and closed the locker only to see Natasha standing and staring at her.

“Hey babe, did you get my voicemail?” Winnie smiled nervously, “um, yeah I did” she swallowed, “and I want to talk to you” Natasha sucked in her lip

“Okay, we could talk after lunch or…” Natasha cut her off, “I don’t think we can be together anymore” she exhaled, “w..wait, why?” Winnie stammered, “I’m sorry, I just feel you are distant from me” Natasha shrugged, “then we can work it out, why can’t you talk to me about it, and I can never be distant or too busy for you” Winnie held her hand, “I’m sorry, I just, I can’t keep torturing myself with the idea that you’re tired of me” Natasha adjusted her bag, “no I’m not…you know what I won’t push it, it’s your decision and I respect it.. but I hope we can be friends though?” Winnie asked as she locked eye contact with her, Natasha nodded positively and walked away.

Winnie sighed and hurried into the girl’s bathroom, she backed the door and fell on her knees as she sobbed into her palms, she got up and rinsed her face, took some mins to look at herself in the mirror and she walked out of the bathroom, two of her friends came to walk beside her.

“Winnie, baby girl” Terry pulled Winnie close as he puts his arm around her neck, “you look like a hot mess” Wendy spat her gum and it went straight into the trash, “not now guys” Winnie said in a low tone

“Heard you moved into a new house yesterday, tell us about it girl” Terry chewed his gum sassily as he pushed a nerd out of his way, “it’s nothing much, it’s just a big mansion” Winnie rolled her eyes, Wendy and Terry gasped as they stopped abruptly and held Winnie back

“a mansion?” Terry smiled at Wendy, “Does it have a pool, and can we sleep over?” Wendy smiled excitedly

“Yes and yes, but it’s the Lancaster mansion” Winnie sighed, and Terry’s jaw dropped, “you mean the murder house?” Wendy placed a hand on her hip

Winnie gulped, “yes, my parents ignorantly bought the house” she said sighed

“Girl are your parents on a death wish?, a family was murdered cold in there” Terry stared at Winnie as the glitter on his eyes shone bright and the eyelash long and thick, “I didn’t know they bought it till we moved in, and it’s okay now, I mean I slept and woke up there and here I am” Winnie gulped as she remembered what happened this morning, “hmn, true fact, so slumber party at your house on Monday?” Terry asked, “Monday?, we have school” Winnie said, “it’s Halloween break from next week girl” Wendy said, “and it’s going to be a lot of fun” Terry bumped butts with Wendy,

“To celebrate your new house, Halloween party at your place on Tuesday, we’ll spread the word and we’ll be around to make you look sweet” Wendy and Terry pecked Winnie and they went to class
