Chapter Twenty

The next morning, the weather was getting cloudy and seemed like it might rain, there were Halloween Decorations all over the houses in the streets, Wendy and Winnie went to meet up with the boys at Burgers n fries. They opened the door and walked in, “there” Winnie pointed to where the boys were sitting by the window. JJ, Blake and Perry, “hey guys” Winnie smiled as she sat beside Blake and Wendy sat beside Perry.

“what’s up sis?” Blake hugged his sister, “hey Wendy” he waved at her and she waved back, “Hey Winnie, I know you don’t like me but let’s just get along even if it’s once” JJ stretched out his hand to Winnie, she glared at him and shook his hand

“Yeah!” Blake yelled and they all laughed, “so are you boys coming for tonight’s party?” Winnie put one of Blake’s French fry in her mouth, “Yeah, since Blake suddenly had a change of heart about wanting to go” JJ shrugged, “really?” Winnie turned to look at Blake,  “well Stephanie practically begged me to come” he sighed

“Begged you?, wow Stephanie will never beg anyone to do anything” Wendy said “yeah man, Maybe she’s into you, who knows” JJ tilted his cola to his mouth, “she could never” Blake laughed, “why not, I mean you’re hot so yeah she might be catching some heat!” Wendy said jokingly and they all laughed

“Yeah yeah, I got to admit, I’m one hell of a package” Blake licked his lips and Winnie rolled her eyes at him

A waitress walked up to them, “welcome to Burgers n fries, what can I get you?” the waitress smiled,

“Hey, it’s you again’ Winnie smiled as she remembered the waitress was the one who took her order the last time she was there

“Hey yeah” the waitress laughed nervously, “what’s your name?” Winnie asked, “Arianna” the waitress said, “I’m Winnie” Winnie shook her hand and Wendy smiled as she made eye contact with Winnie

“Nice to meet you, can I get your orders?” Arianna asked again, “yeah, I want a large French fry and one milkshake” Winnie nodded and Arianna jotted down the orders and turned to Wendy, “just get me a crispy fried chicken with melted cheese, a large fry and one soda” Wendy smiled, “okay, your order will be here in 5 minutes, thank you and happy Halloween” Arianna laughed , “Happy Halloween” they all said back and she walked away, and Winnie kept smiling as she watched her walk away

   “I know that smile, you like her don’t you?” Wendy teased, “yeah I think I’m starting to get fond of her” Winnie said, “Guess who caught a love bug and it’s not even valentine” JJ teased, “oh shut up JJ” Winnie rolled her eyes and laughed

“Then ask for her number” Blake nudged Winnie and she thwarted his hand playfully, “I don’t know, what if she’s not into girls?” Winnie shrugged, “how will you know if you don’t try to have a proper conversation with her” Perry threw a fry in his mouth, “Fine, maybe later” Winnie chuckled, “yeah!, that’s my girl!” Wendy cheered and Arianna came back with their orders

“Thanks” Wendy said as she dropped thae food on the table, she was about leaving and Winnie stopped her, “can I um get your number?” Winnie smiled nervously, “sure” Arianna smiled and Winnie handed her phone to Arianna to type in her digits, “here you go” Arianna returned Winnie’s phone, “thanks, I’ll call” Winnie smiled and Arianna nodded and walked away.

  “you see, that wasn’t so hard” Blake teased Winnie, “whatever” Winnie rolled her eyes as she threw a French fry in her mouth

“so what time should we leave for the party?” Perry asked, “by 6 we should be on our way” Blake drank his soda, “And we’ll crash at your place for the night” JJ rested on the chair, “my friends too” Winnie said and took a sip from her milkshake

“Sounds cool, the boys and I will meet you guys there right?” Blake asked Winnie, “yeah sure” she nodded

“Alright then, let’s have the best Halloween ever!!” JJ yelled as he hi-fived everyone.

  They stayed there for a while, talked, ate and laughed heartily to each other’s jokes and they waited for time to pass by which it did and they separated as they went to prepare for Stephanie’s Halloween party
