The Lancaster 336 words 2021-04-14 17:11:58

Blake got home and walked into the house, “mom!?” he called as he closed the door behind him and saw Jane coming out from the kitchen with blood all over her hands, “is that blood?” He asked shockingly, “No, it’s fish blood” she smiled, “um..Okay, hey boy” he bent to play with Gary who was running around his legs, “are you hungry boy?, come” he walked into the kitchen and poured dog food in Gary’s plate and walked out of the kitchen.

“Is dad home?, his car is parked outside” he said, “he went to get something for me”, she said and moved closer to him, “and Winnie?  Is she home?, she just left school without telling me anything” he shrugged

“She’s home” She smiled and Blake got a message, he unlocked his phone, it’s a message from Winnie,

“I’m not sleeping home tonight, I’m at Wendy’s house, tell mom, talk later.bye

Blake read the message and looked at Jane who kept staring at him, “um, mom I want to get somewhere, I’ll be back” he said hurriedly and walked out of the door.

He dialed Winnie’s number and she picked up

“Mom just said you were home, she’s acting weird, I saw dad’s car parked outside but I didn’t see dad” he said as he walked swiftly

“Why would she lie to you?, Maybe he went out or something” Winnie said

“Anyway, I’m not sleeping home tonight too, I’m heading to JJ’s house” He stopped a taxi as he got to the main road

“okay, should see you tomorrow” Winnie said and hung up

Blake ended the call as he got in the taxi.
