"Where are we headed to next?" I asked as Lenny hailed a cab for us.
"Well, we're in the bottom part of New York right now, so..." Lenny trailed off as she slid into the cab that stopped for her.
The cab driver helped me put our bags in the truck, and I got in the car. The driver got in and turned to face us, waiting for directions.
"As far south as you're willing to go. We're heading to Georgia," Lenny told him.
"I'm not leaving the state. I'll take you to the border of Pennsylvania." He announced before putting the cab in drive and taking off.
Lenny rolled her eyes at the man.
I could sense a bit of tension in the car, but I ignored it. Honestly, at first I thought it was me. I'm still feeling strange this morning. I still feel bad that I hurt Lenny even though she's……
