Willow and I were huddled together, our voices low as we tried to figure out the total weirdness that just went down.
"But seriously, Will," I said, my voice kinda frustrated, "there's gotta be some way to figure out who's behind this, right? We can't just let them get away with it."
She let out a sigh, and her shoulders slumped a bit. "Stella, I wish I knew," she replied. "This magic is ancient and super powerful, and whoever's pulling the strings is hiding, big time."
I chewed on my lip. "So, we're not going to do anything?"
Before Willow had a chance to say a word, Tristan, who had been standing nearby lost in his own thoughts, suddenly bolted away from the clearing. He vanished into the woods behind the academy in the blink of an eye, like lightning.
