“Hi.” David answered the guy with a dry disinterested greeting from his side.
“We haven’t met yet. I hoped to make your acquaintance.” The other person didn’t sound hostile at least.
“Oh, right. David Strauss. And you are?” Somehow, David sounded like a completely different person. He wasn’t as chatty as he was a while ago when it was just the two of us.
“Sorry, my bad, I should have introduced myself first. Rex Ellington.” Rex? It was Rex who stopped us? I stuck my head out from behind David to check if it really was him.
