It was still quiet behind the door. I sighed and softly knocked on the door again.
“Should I bring you some cookies?” I asked, hoping she would finally answer. The door opened, leaving only a tiny space between it and the wall. Then I heard her footsteps going away. I pushed my hand against the door to open it. If she didn’t want me to come inside, she wouldn’t have come close and opened the door to let me know I could come in.
When I closed the door behind me, I got to know that the room was completely dark. The last rays of light disappeared quickly. She had to close the curtains because the moonlight in her room wasn’t that bright either. I could barely see anything in the dark as the outside of this room, where I was a while ago, was brightly lit with many lights.
Once my eyes adjusted……
