Ben’s both arms wrapped around me and he rested his head on top of my shoulder with a sigh. I didn’t have the heart to ask him why he was sighing unless he would decide to tell me himself. So we were standing there, staring at the beach through the space between the two houses. There were no cars, no people around us, it was just him, me and the sound of the sea breeze and waves flowing to the shore.
Suddenly, a phone buzzing broke the silence.
“You should pick up.” I decided to speak. But Ben only grunted in disagreement. He didn’t want to let go of me. I smiled. I had the exact same feeling. I didn’t want him to let go of me, but at the same time, it felt quite uncomfortable that he didn’t pick up the phone that was buzzing in his pocket. I poked him with my elbow.
“Fine, fine, I’ll get ……
