Juliette used her words carefully. She wanted to make it obvious that she was moving on from him. Juliette wasn't going to run after him all the time. But at the same time she was feeling the pain from the decision. It wasn't her choice. She had to do so in order to feel free. And because he wasn't in love, he would still feel bad for her and their strained relationship would be a bit flexible.
They might even become friends, which was a lot better than having hard feelings towards the other. It will make living easier for both of them. The mating ceremony would happen. It was inevitable. But surviving it was the real deal.
If they kept ignoring each other and did not show their real feelings, they might snap some day. It was better for Marvin to feel guilty towards her than think……
