Juliette played the music she had been playing for a long time. Her heart was sweating as she pressed the keys one after the other.
She wore gloves so that her hands wouldn't slip due to sweating (it happened during practice). She kept her eyes down on the keys to avoid eye contact with anyone as it may seriously hinder her performance and ruin the effort.
At the last note, she sighed and smiled. The next piece was simple. She looked up and coincidentally caught Marvin staring at her. His hand was holding half a glass of champagne and he was looking at her without blinking.
Juliette smiled at him and started playing the second piece. It was a simple, slow version of a happy birthday song that was mandatory on birthdays. While playing, she also softly hummed the words.
