Zac had gone for a shower, Rose had fallen asleep, I was sitting by the blinds keeping watch for any other attacks. So far, we had fought off vampires, hunters and now the Serpents. What was the connection? Obviously, Rose…. but why? It was easy to see why Rose would be sought after and receive plenty male attention, she was exquisite, beautiful, strong, intelligent, but also with a certain innocence. There was something pure about her, even though she had a fiery, badass way about her too. I had seen her vulnerable, but also ferocious and merciless. She had killed the hunters without a second thought, she did not even seem to feel remorse about it.
As I turned to look at Rose lying snoring quietly, I couldn’t help but wonder about her past. She did not know who she was, but I suspect……
