Chapter 3 Where the Path Refuses the Walker

This chapter follows Amihan after the forest tears her away from the clearing. She awakens in the Kaharián ng Gitna, a dangerous in-between realm where paths are alive and choices are never simple. Silawán rreveals he brought her there to keep her from being claimed, but his protection comes with its own cost.
Tala arrives, showing how deeply the forest has already changed her, and warns Amihan that her "wanting" is no longer harmless, it is drawing powerful beings toward her. Before they can leave, Liraya returns, and it becomes clear that Amihan is no longer just wandering... she is being contested.
