Mamo stepped forward pinning him with a gaze that made my blood run cold. This was the first time I had witnessed my grandmother in such a dominant role, she looked badass. Then she spoke, her commanding tone making me quiver, never mind Murdo. “Murdo McTavish, you understand why you have been brought here today? You have been conspiring with my son, I need you to tell me all you know. Otherwise, your punishment will not be swift, even if you beg for mercy, I shall not grant it. Now, tell me what Dougal is planning?”
