“Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. On behalf of the regional office and the WHO itself, I would like to thank everyone for coming here tonight,” Brutch said as he started the press briefing about the outbreak at the WHO collaborating Centre at the University of Libreville, Gabon.
This took place right after his two-day tour in the affected zones and the treatment camps. This was the first press conference the WHO research unit had organized since its settling in this region of Middle Africa. Madeleine was supposed to hold a press conference long before Brutch arrived. However, since Brutch was the main figure of the team, Madeleine preferred that he hold the press conference.
