"This can be done by anyone, it doesn't require magic." Lorraine explained as we watched in anticipation as she finished her summoning circle, coaxing us all to stand within it. "And these usually only last a few minutes." She warned us, before murmuring a spell in a language I had never heard her use, and it felt like everything around us paused for a moment. A smile crept up on Lorraine, and I knew it had worked.
"Hello Evelyn," Lorraine said triumphantly, and not a moment later, our mother appeared.
Well, her spirit anyway. A translucent version of her.
"Mom?" Zack asked, his voice immediately choking up.
She smiled at him and nodded. "Hello my sweet boys. I have missed you all so much."
"We have missed you too." I jumped in, my own voice cracking. "So much……
