"Yeah grandma, I'm pretty much all settled in. No- Yes-" I sighed in frustration, pinching my brows together as I listened to her warning/threat to behave myself and call if there was any trouble. And not to cause any trouble, or she would send my parents to deal with me, knowing I really didn't want that.
My grandpa hopped on the phone next and his conversation was far more relaxed, more curious and concerned than anything. The only problem this time was the annoyed looks, huffing, and pointing to the clock from my dear sweet roommate, the lovely Ava.
"I should go, it's getting late." I said at the first opportunity, not trusting myself to not throttle Ava if she made one more sound or rude gesture. "I love you too. Bye."
I shot Ava a venomous look, and ……
