Last night's events didn't sit well with me. Owen said she looked better off this time than when he saw her after her last night-terror, which was even more unreassuring to me. I knew she had a busy day today from our conversation over breakfast yesterday, but I decided to make a point to see her, to check on her, regardless.
But Lorraine was not an easy shewolf to find. I caught a whiff of her honeydew scent here and there, but nothing fresh. I even stopped by her room and met her no-nonsense roommate, who didn't seem to care that I was the future alpha of her pack. She was very dismissive, and didn't know or care where Lorraine was.
I was about to give up when my wolf, Nolan, reminded me that our mate enjoyed visiting cemeteries. I laughed to myself, but sure enough,……
