Chapter 31- First Impressions

~Isabella POV~

We made it to the office with 5 minutes to spare, and I could tell Victor was a little irritated by this. I soon realized being late even when we weren’t, technically, was a real trigger for him, as he had mentioned. The team was already assembled in the conference room, and I noticed two seats were left vacant at the head of the table. Carmen was sitting toward the end of the table, and we embraced when we saw each other. There were approximately 14 people around the conference table and 4 others sitting at the side.

I caught Angie sitting to Victor’s left and my jaw ticked. She wore a light pink suit with a very short skirt and nude-colored 4 inch stiletto pumps. She made it a point to whisper something into Victor’s ear as she lightly placed a hand on his knee as she leaned……
