Chapter Eleven
Jodie considered taking down the two sergeants who came to get her out of her cell. It was doable, even with the cuffs. But that would leave her stuck in the depths of the land of assholes.
She was angry enough to do it anyway.
Then they could lock her up and throw away the key with good reason. At least then she could stew in her own juices in peace.
Before she could decide just how truly masochistic a day she wanted this to be, the two sergeants guided her into an interrogation room.
There was the police captain who’d had her thrown into a cell the instant he saw his officer. She had to blink several times before she could make sense of the others waiting there.
Stan Corman, last man on the planet she wanted to see, looked as pissed as she felt. Maybe the two of them could take ……
