“Nice pivot," Cade said.
She wasn't going to let him talk about what was between them. It was unprofessional of her to have him at her house. She was already skirting a line that she should never cross. They were becoming friends at the very least and that can't happen. She might lose her objectivity in his case.
If she could make this a professional meeting, then she could turn things around. She needed to keep Cade at a distance. “Let's talk about that date."
“It wasn't that much of one so there isn't much to say."

“Yes. You're not going to let that go, are you?" he asked.
“No. It was rude. You had her number, and you didn't use it to warn her. That is not nice. It's rude. It doesn't make you look good in anyone's eyes."
