Kate did not answer Lisa about the soup; instead, she asked, "Lisa, would you please go and ask the doctor if I can be discharged from hospital today?"
"Huh?" Lisa was shocked to hear that Kate wanted to leave the hospital. After thinking for a moment, she smiled, "You suffered from serious anemia and must stay in the hospital for at least a week. You need medical care."
"I can take good care of myself after leaving the hospital. Go and tell the doctor that I am okay to leave now."
"Kate, what's the matter with you? Are you bored here? Don't worry; I'll keep you company if that is all it is," Lisa thought Joseph was at the hospital with her, so she was surprised and disappointed to see that Kate was alone.
