“What is this?”, I asked before putting the warm bottle on my lips. “Zara , its chocolate”, l chirped instantly as soon as I gingerly took a sip of the liquid. “Hot cocoa is popular in winter here”, She replied with a wide smile on her face. “What is it?”, I asked when I saw her stare at me for so long.
“Am just happy to know that you love it, l don’t want you to feel like an odd man out in our world”, She said and I smiled with tears again brimming in my eyes. She wanted me to feel at home despite the fact that I was a human. “You so sweet”, Without thinking, l instantly pulled her into a tight hug.
“It’s fine, it’s fine just know that I will always be on your side”, She said hugging me but her words just made me to cry. Her kindness wasn’t the one making me to cry but it was her the memo……
