Freira is not expecting he'll attend this wedding but then she is the one who is an intruder. He lives in this town, therefore, an invitation to him is not impossible while she is a traveler who knew no one around but Mrs. Jade—she could not say that she knows him since she only knows his name and the fact that he has saved her from those evil men.
"Hi," she said when she found her voice.
Hugh smiled and gave her a nod. "Fancy seeing you here."
"Actually, I was only dragged by my landlady," she replied, pointing at the woman who is still with her friends, did not even bother to look for where she is.
"Mrs. Jade," he uttered. "She looks well and healthy."
"And fit for more talks," she added.
His smile widened. "So, you have been on the receiving end……
