Chapter Nineteen: The Alpha on Her String

The Warden speaks through Roderic, and it's the coldest scene yet: she reveals every thread runs back to one spindle, herself, so Wren can't cut them one by one. Then the real trap, dressed as a gift: come to the Circle's seat, take the loom, and free them all, OR at the full moon three nights off she pulls every thread at once and Wren's whole gathering dies where they stand. And Roderic claws his own voice back long enough to s****m the truth she's hiding, the loom needs the strongest blood to hold it, and Wren's is stronger than the Warden's now.
