Chapter 16: Just a Little More Than Mom

Rennie saves up a whole box of snacks for her brother, and every single thing in it is something she likes — a fact she never bothers to mention. Then she opens a bag and eats two more before he's finished one. She spends the chapter giving and taking from the same box, and I love her for it. She also ranks Wren above their mom, but only a little. Do you think she'd say that out loud if she thought he'd repeat it?
