Thankfully, when Cory hustled down the stairs, there was actually someone on the other side of the door - the delivery driver. Savannah wasn’t sure what she would have done if he answered the door and there was no one there, but it probably wouldn’t have been pretty. As such, the bleary eyed young painter tried to sit up. Tried, being the operative word, as she immediately sank back down, her head spinning a little from the sudden motion.

“Nnngh...sorry, I’ll be a minute,” she groaned.

“Take your time.” Cory said simply. 

She could hear Cory busying himself around the kitchen as she blinked, trying to clear the blurriness from her vision. She rubbed at her eyes, waited a minute, then tried to get up again. The results were better the second go around, now that her brain had had time to c……
