Gordon was standing with his hands rammed in his jeans pockets staring out of his apartment window at the busy street below. It had been a month since he put up £100,000 for the name of his brother’s killer and had heard nothing from Edinburgh’s underworld which left him baffled. The amount of money he had offered was substantial when you consider that you could have someone shot for twenty grand and he had not foreseen this delay.
