Chapter 12: Loose Ground

I keep coming back to the end of this one. Dodd, who never had a voice that carried, steps in front of the squad and takes it anyway, flat as ever — and Hollis hands him his own line back in his own voice: "You quit talking like me." After what that valley just did, Dodd's answer is to make sure everyone else goes home. Hollis's answer is that it isn't Dodd's turn. I'm not sure either of them is wrong. Which one would you have followed?
