Lord of Myriad Realms 816 words 2021-05-30 11:43:39

Colossal Abyss, One of the six great forbidden land.

Two people were running frantically with astonishing speed. One was an old man with white beards and white hairs. Those wrinkles on his face couldn't hide the sharpness in his eyes. Other one was a middle aged person with stalwart body, He was the leading figure and the old man was following behind him.

The environment around them was extremely dangerous, bloody mists covered the area all around. Anyone would be creeped out by this scene. There were constant ghastly noises which couldn't be described by words.

"Lord, I think those things stopped chasing us, should we take a break and heal?" The old man said.

"No, I can still feel their presence, we will move to the east. Don't slack off if you don't want to be their nutrition." The middle aged man said in a deep voice.

Both of them were injured, despite running true Qi inside their body, blood was still flowing like water. Healing pills weren’t working either.

After running for an unknown amount of time both of them unknowingly arrived inside a graveyard.

The middle aged man turned his head and looked back from where he came.

"Lord, It seems like a graveyard. Should we go in?" The old man asked.

"We can't go back anyway, those things stopped chasing us after we entered the range of this graveyard. We should go in and take a look, maybe there is certain something they are afraid of. " The middle aged man said solemnly.

They took a look at the huge rusty ancient gate infront of them which was covered by withered vines and dead tree leaves. They had never heard of any records in history books about this place.

Both of them opened the ancient gate with a squeak sound and started looking around vigilantly.

To their surprise there was no fog inside, according to common knowledge about colossal abyss, blood red fogs shrouded everywhere but this place was clearly an exception. Large tombstones were erected here and there. These tombstones were almost broken, it couldn't stand the erosion of time.

One could imagine how old these tombstones were.

Both didn't dare to slow down as they quickly moved forward. After a certain amount of time both looked back and found themselves in an empty space, with no tombstones around. They kept moving around for few minutes and realised there was no exit. Both of them kept searching for an exit but found nothing and they were about to panic.

But suddenly a blinding light shrouded them, when they opened their eyes a huge Mansion stood before them. They looked at it with wide eyes, excitement and fear ran through their heart.

The mansion emitted multicoloured lights which almost blinded them.

" Lord, Should...should we go in. A great treasure must be there? The old man said trembling.

"Let's go in, although our goal in this place isn't treasury. Everything depends on fate. " The middle aged man replied.

They entered the huge mansion and swiftly arrived at the innermost hall without any difficulty. They thought here would be treasures lying around everywhere since the mansion was hidden in this place.

But to their disappointment they found nothing.

"Lord, I found something. " The old man screamed.

The middle aged man’s heart skipped a beat, he hurriedly ran towards him and saw an old rusty coffin laying in a high platform. It was covered by ancient runes. The middle aged man observed them for a while, despite being a rune master he found nothing.

"Judging by the uniqueness of these runes, this coffin should be older than Legendary Era. " Middle aged man with a frown.

The old man was very surprised and ecstatic. it was very normal for him to be. Infront of him was a treasure from the legendary era how could he not be excited.

"Lord, Should we open it and see?" The omd man said with greedy eyes.

The middle aged man nodded after thinking for a while.

They opened the coffin with no difficulty and what they saw surprised them even more. Inside the coffin, a young man was sleeping peacefully. He seems to be around the age of twenty. The color of his face was ruddy, skin was white and healthy as if the corrosion of time didn’t affect him at all. Both of them dumbly looked at each other for a while, they didn't know what to do. Both started discussing.

Suddenly the young man in the coffin opened his eyes and sat up. Both the old man and middle aged man were frightened and hurriedly backed away. They looked vigilantly at the young man and was ready to flee at any moment.

The young man didn't mind them at all. He sat straight and closed his eyes. No one knew what he was thinking.
