Her father was very sick, and his final wish was to marry her off to his best friend. Allison felt trapped. She imagined a man her father’s age, a boring life, and a marriage she never wanted. She decided right then that she wouldn't let a stranger take her innocence just because of a deal.
She went to the club to take back control. She wanted one night of passion with a stranger to forget her problems. That was when she saw him. The connection was instant. For the first time, she felt a real spark. She wasn't just a daughter doing what she was told. She was a woman in love.
But the morning light brought a shock. When it was time to meet the man her father chose, the door opened and time stopped. Standing there was the man from the club. The same stranger she had just given herself to was the husband she was trying to escape.
She thought she was running away from her future. She didn't realize she had already walked right into it.
