“Nonsense,” Rust brushed her concerns under the rug, “You’re safe here,” He reassured, as he did so many nights after she woke up screaming, calling her mother’s name, yelling for her farther. “No,” She dug her heels into the ground, causing them to stop dead center of everything and everyone, and the room started to spin, it started to become brighter, and her eyes met a set of bright icy glaziers across the room, and she watched the dark haired male smile at her, his arm reaching out… “Briar, what is it?” Rust asks, his voice a drowned out sound as Briar’s gaze kept hold of the dark haired male’s and she watched him purposefully push a candle over, and the world slowed as the steel holder wobbled and then tipped right over, the candle’s flame burning taller, brighter as it fell right into the curtains of the hall.
