William Saunders is a seventeen year old senior looking to just get by after a life of school centered torture with his father, the school’s only English teacher, embarrassing him at every turn. It never ends. Whatever his father says, the student body teases him about, mercilessly.
That is, until one day his father presented a thesis paper in retaliation for his bad behavior in class that engaged a certain fellow student he wished he could get closer to. She was quiet, quirky and had a story he was dying to be included in. He willingly changes himself and his outlook for the chance and is surprised as to what kind of life she lives and feels the unrelenting need to fix it.

Listening had been difficult. Leaving it alone was even worse, for him at least. He was able to get the closure he wanted and the healing he needed from his family and it pained him to know that she would never get there. The best he could do was keep on the path they were on and hope that she could fix the cracks where she wouldn’t allow him to be……
