I knew I would never get enough. My c*ck had grown hard just from thinking about it, and that was a pretty good indication, that she already had me completely at her mercy. I didn’t like being touched very much. Whoever I did end up f*cking was always bound or I made sure to keep their hands away. But something in me craved to feel her even closer, feel her hands on me, leave my scent all over her skin, like she would leave hers on mine. I would never just want a quick shower afterwards. I would never just think of her as a way to scratch an itch. I would be so f*cking obsessed.
“Phoenix?”
“Yeah?”
“You know we aren’t getting out, right?” he asked.
“You think I am planning our escape right now?”
“Well, you said you were thinking.”
“Yeah well … not about a plan.”
“No? Is it a certain person who has come to mind?” he asked, his voice indicating that he saw right through me, just from what I had said.
“Something like that …”

Hope's heart is broken. She cannot get over the fact Phoenix doesn't want her, and she hates that she is bringing everyone else down with her. She knows she needs to go. She needs to leave, so Phoenix can come home again and be with his family. She doesn't want to be the reason he might get hurt out there with Connor still on the loose, but sadly things aren't so simple.
Phoenix ran away when he saw Hope for the first time. He knows what kind of evil bastard he is, and he doesn't want to hurt Hope. He doesn't want to poison her with his evil touch, but when he is k*dnapped and trapped together with Octavia and Chris, he also learns he can't stay away from Hope. He needs her, and he will never let her go once she let him in again.
Can Phoenix overcome his evil past and the things that haunt him, or will he drag Hope down with him, as he has always feared? Can Hope reach the dark corners in Phoenix's heart and teach him to love her? Or are they simply too different?
