Changing Positions (Brooks Haven Bears 3)
READING AGE 18+
This is the third book in the Brooks Haven Series (the first two are now on K.U.) but it can be read as standalone.
Hans Blom has been scouted for the NHL since he was eleven. Smart, handsome, talented, and rich, he has everything going on for him. The NHL wants the new Brooks Haven captain to sign a contract right away, but another dream is holding him back. There’s also only one girl he can never impress – a family friend’s daughter and someone he grew up with, Emily Strauss Park.
Just like Hans, Emily seems to have everything. She’s set to become a doctor, a dream that her father aimed for and failed at. Her rebellious streak has her wandering in the wrong lane and looking for trouble. When her mother decides to set her up with a friend’s son, she thinks of an extreme and possibly disastrous solution – and it may involve Hans Blom.
Themes: dual virgins, forbidden love, mistaken identity, reverse grumpy sunshine, mental illness
