Lidia was lost, she had just run away from her family after she overheard them talking about her.
She had just come into the mud room and as she was taking off the heavily coated mud spoiled boots from her feet she was shocked to hear her mother's voice as she clearly said, "Can we at least all agree that we need Lidia to accept the marriage contract with the Alpha King!" my mother was practically screaming. I was now straining to hear more clearly what everyone was saying to her shouting that remark but I would unfortunately have to face them and ask them what exactly is going on as they have now started talking softer and I am not able to hear everything they were saying. I was shocked when my family was silent when I finally finished dressing as I had taken off my coat and changed my shoes to be more comfortable. My mother had a fake smile and worst of all my brother wàs looking at me with a wink and a wicked grin on his face. "What is going on guys?" I asked trying not to worry about what they were actually discussing and not telling me. What were they talking about and will they tell me all the details? I was not just curious but also worried about them plotting something weird...
I was told "Darling girl with much love, we have accepted a wedding proposal on your behalf." My minipulative mother said this with what she thought was a gentle smile but I knew better than believing her lies.
I knew I had to be calm and pretend to play along with everything they are saying but inside I know I have to make a decision about whether I am going to run off as soon as I can, away from them and away from my future husband.
