Jessup Fledgling, a 16 years old farmer were selected as one of the participant to be part of an “experiment” to find the cure for the sickness that is drastically killing the adults once they hit their 40's, as an effect of the nuclear atomic bomb that exploded 99 years ago during an apocalyptic war. The Manor is the highly-advance Metropolis who organized the search for cure by selecting two boys and two girls each of the Six Quarter surrounding the Manor to work as a one society. (Farmers, fishers, hunters, mining, lumbers and toolmaker).
But no one knows what kind of experiment The Bailiff (leaders of the Manor) is doing to those who are selected, because no one is coming back, alive or dead in the Quarter once got selected. As Jessup and the other Participants were being transffered to the Manor, a minor accident that exposed the young to the reality of their world after the transportation truck were interrupted by something that make it crash and stuck at the center world, called The Raven, where Darkness and Sickness come, home for creatures that were formed during an apocalyptic war.
Now that they are stuck in The Raven, will Jessup and the others survive? Will they find their way out of the Raven back to the Manor or the Quarter? What Mystery their world could have? What happens to those who are selected? Does the cure really exists? What does the Manor's way of finding the cure to the sickness?
