Isabelle, a local artisan focusing in the art of candle making takes this opportunity to help rebuild the boy, teaching him about people and consequence along the way. Her own focus in volunteer work has him staring down a girl his age who happens to be a burn victim which moves him deeply. Did he cause her pain? Overcome by guilt, he finds he needs to be there for her to clear his conscience but as he stays and gets to know her, he falls in love.
