A Murky Past
READING AGE 16+
I walked across the dense forest, the unusually ruthless wind piercing my throat and my legs felt numb, as though they hadn't moved in ages. The moonlight guided me towards a path I was magnetically attracted to.I pushed aside the leafy branch of a tree, and viewed on the ground at edge of the forest, the enormous silhouette of an intimidating castle and heard a blood-curdling cackle.

I let loose my body in defeat, as the snake approached me. Guess this was the way it had to end. The faces of mum, dad and my three brothers flashed in my eyes. I felt their warmth and love inside me which provided me with an absolutely inexplicable comfort; even on the verge of death they were with me...in my heart. Just as I was ready to embra……
