My name is Aura Senka and I’m a lot of things. I’m an Elf and I’m a protector, but most importantly I’m Cheyenne’s protector, she just doesn’t know it yet. I was raised on elf territory, where all of us are given one person to protect at all costs. We are told who we are to protect at the age of ten and then trained for years on how to protect them. We are taught how to fight, how to defend, how to mask ourselves so that no one can see us and it is up to us if we show ourselves to the one we are to protect or not, but while I was training the elders discovered I had healing powers too. My mother has them as well, so it was only right that she taught me how and when to use them. Two weeks after my twenty-first birthday I felt terrible pain all over my body and I knew what that meant, then my parents ran to me, telling me that I had to leave and it confirmed my biggest fear. She was in danger. I rushed from my homeland, leaving my family, friends and everyone I had ever known to go protect her, to save her, but the whole time I was seeing what she was seeing. I was seeing her being attacked, I was seeing everything that was happening to her, so I ran as fast as I could, but by the time I got there it was almost too late. I found her in the middle of the woods, beaten with deep gashes all over her, causing a pool of her own blood to surround her on the ground. Her own mate tried to kill her so that he could have his one true mate. I quickly put pressure on the bigger wounds, while I tried to heal the more serious wounds, but I had only been practising my healing for a few years and was nowhere near as good as what my mother was. I was going to lose her if I didn’t act fast, so I picked her up as carefully as I could and took her to my home in the human world. All elves are given a home in the human world so that they can be close to the ones they protect and also so they don’t raise suspicion. I knew I couldn’t ask for my mothers help because it was against the sacred rules of a protector and healer, so I had to do it on my own. I started with the more serious life threatening ones, but every time I healed a wound it would drain me, so it took me months to heal her. I cared for her day and night until she was fully healed, but the attack had done more damage to her than I first thought it had and this damage was something that I couldn’t heal. Emotional and mental damage. She was betrayed by the one person she should have been able to trust with her life, instead he tried to end it and this broke her to some extent. I could hear and feel all the goings on outside my home, everything that was related to Cheyenne in some way and I knew that Mercury was looking for her, but when I told her this she said she didn’t want anyone to know where she was. Will she want to see him when he finds out where she is? Will he convince her to go back with him? Will they find the ones that did this to her? I knew right away that Mercury and Cheyenne belonged together when the Moon Goddess brought her back and I knew that the Moon Goddess had made a mistake pairing them with other people, but now I have to correct it all. The Moon Goddess has left it up to me to figure out how to right the wrongs of the past and I have a lot to do in order to get it done. Come with me on this adventure and see if true love really can beat all, to see if Cheyenne and Mercury will finally find their way back to each other
