“ARE YOU allowed to drink tonight?” Jeff asked me, but his gaze flew to Rexon.
I laughed at his question. “Of course, I do! I would love to drink.” Then my gaze crossed to Rexon, who was just leaning forward on the couch.
“She can’t drink. Give her a root beer instead,” he said, and he slightly raised the glass he was holding.
