" You know you can't get out of this marriage. We had an agreement” he replied, voice sharp.
“ We had an agreement. I married for the sake of my children. They needed a mother figure in their life, and you needed money for your mother's surgery. You have done your part perfectly, and I will admit that”
“I'm not giving up on them, I love them,they are my children even though I didn't give birth to them. It's the marriage that I want to give up,I don't want to stay married to you. "
His expression hardened
"You know very well that I don't have any feelings for you,whether you stay or leave doesn't matter to me,what matters is the children,they have grown attached to you, I won't let them get hurt do you understand??”
His words were harsh, but she didn't flinch.
“I'm not leaving them “ she said quietly “ I will stay as their nanny”
