I know what obsession looks like.
I've been running from it for years.
Every six months, I change cities, schools, and homes before the monster from my past can find me again. I don't get attached. I don't let anyone close.
Then Satan walks into my classroom.
He's eighteen. Tattooed. Arrogant. Shameless. And apparently f*****g obsessed with me.
He invades classes that aren't his, draws me instead of taking notes, turns every f*****g conversation into an attempt to get into my pants, and treats every rejection as if I've simply misunderstood the question.
“I don't f**k horny teenagers.”
“That's okay, Mr. Bourne. I'm a very good student. You can teach me everything from scratch.”
God help me.
I should hate the way he watches me.
I do hate it.
Because I've already had one man's obsession destroy my life.
But Satan's obsession is different.
He doesn't make me want to disappear.
He makes me want to stop running.
And that's f*****g terrifying.
Because my student from Hell isn't just beautiful, possessive, impossible, and apparently incapable of understanding the word no when it comes to flirting.
He's hiding something.
Something big.
So am I.
And neither of us knows just how dangerously close our secrets already are.
I've spent years running from one obsessed man.
Falling for another was never part of the f*****g plan.

ADAM’S POINT OF VIEW

When I saw him in the hallway this morning, for a second, I thought I was seeing things. He changed a little since I last saw him five years ago.

I was thirteen back then. Short and skinny, so there’s no way he would have recognized me.

I was already making plans to make him mine, watch……
